| Hanging out on the Bruce | |

Time for the annual trip back to Canuckistan to visit the family. Life out on the Bruce Peninsula is always a bit interesting; there's electricity, good cell reception, and better Internet than I get here in China, but no plumbing. This time I came with a guest, and so did everybody else it seems, which made for an absolutely insane few days out there. Throw in more meat in a week than I've eaten in four years in China, and entirely too much booze. Who knew my family knew how to party it up so much? |

Back in Waterloo, enjoying the nice weather, before heading up north.
The neighbours in the upscale hood here all seem to like well-groomed houses.
Problem with only coming to the city once a week: you gotta lug a lot of crap with you each time go head back.
Ontario is significantly more beautiful than I remember.
Slight trick to the situation up north: the house is on an island.
It's like roughing it in the wild, except it's totally not. Nice!
Whoops. Forgot the shade. Free solar flares for everybody!
The water level here goes up and down to the tune of 30cm (1') in 30 minutes, so all the docks and everything similar have to be flexible.

There's so much blue and green here, colours I rarely see in Beijing.
This will soon be the most gloriously over-designed outhouse ever!
When there's like zero air pollution, sunsets tend to be glorious.
Although a bit chilly.
Loooove the colours!
A sunset every day ! No clouds or storms up here this year.
That's no dog ... it's a horse!

When you reinforce a dock, you need more stones. Gotta get 'em from A to B somehow. A canoe seems to work just fine.

Looking a bit deflated after a day of hard playing.
There were a lot of dogs here this weekend.
