| Harbourfront and Mount Faber Park | |

I decided to take the subway down to the Harbourfront area today, and then go check out Mount Faber Park. It was pretty hot out still, but there was lots of beautiful stuff to see. I ended up buying a shirt after walking through the park just so I could swap out the sweat-soaked one I was wearing previously. |

The subway system here is very modern and clean, and constantly showing videos instructing you to be alert for terrorists.
|
At Harbourfront, I hopped the cablecar up to Mount Faber. Sadly, no air circulation or anything inside the car. It was a sauna.

Looking back towards the Harbourfront area and Sentosa Island beyond, a big fun park and country club and general party place, it seems.
|
There isn't much in the way of casual waterfront here ... Everything is built up to support Singapore's monstrous port infrastructure.

Some views of downtown.

Alright, I started walking around up top. It's hot, and I was the -only- person up there, but somebody's gotta do it.

There will be some thunderstorms later in the day.

They have lots of rules in this city.
|
There are lots of tantalising partial views of the city, but no single point with a huge knockout view of everything.

Rawr! I'm an Asian Tiger!

|
Not surprisingly, there was nobody using this Pagoda.

|
This red tree was really beautiful.

Working my way back to the city, I watched some old guys place variations of checkers and traditional Chinese chess.

|
I changed my evening plans to include catching a nice movie and some dinner.
