  PHP Quebec 2008 and New York City
 

I was invited to give a couple of talks at the annual PHP Québec conference in Montreal this year, so I took advantage of the trip to visit a bunch of people in various places, including family in Toronto, my sister in Seattle, and some more friends in New York City.

I managed to get some nice photography in New York and also in Montreal. Sadly, a fantastic two weeks ended a bit uncomfortably as I was struck down by probably the worst flu I have ever had. That just means there's still stuff left to explore next year!!!

A couple of days in New York City
I went to New York city to visit some friends and generally hang out in the city for a few days. I like this place a lot, and never have a bad time.

PHP Conference in Montreal
I had a few talks accepted at the annual PHP Québec conference in Montreal this year, so I got to spend a few days in the city, meeting interesting people, eating good food, and seeing a city I had not been to in almost exactly 15 years. Too bad I caught the plague and had to spend my last day in bed instead of exploring more fully.
