The normally very quiet street ...
... suddenly became this
It was complete madness down at the end of the road.
People just started parking their cars down the middle of the road, and double parking along the edges.
The cops were not very happy about this, and towed every single one of the cars in the middle.
I don't imagine it's easy to find towed vehicles here in Beijing.
Walking around later, huge crowds still.
Standing out in line on this kinda day probably isn't very fun.
Probably shoulda just asked them what they were all waiting for, but I didn't want to intrude ...
Took a good coupla days for things to calm down again.
